I feel like there has been a lot of talk lately about average wedding present cost. Lots of people are saying they give more when they are in the wedding which just blows my mind. I bought a dress, shoes, came to all your shit (including showers) and I’m supposed to give you an additional $200 present too? Sorry friends. Not happening. My presence is a present, etc.

I know right! ESP if you travel to be at the wedding too. I think 50 dollar limit is fine if you are a bridesmaid. Also I think brides should pay for the dresses, at least I would, it is THEIR wedding afterall (this is how I feel about this sitch ha)

My friends and I usually don’t expect gifts from people in the wedding (unless the bride/groom paid for the dress or rental AS THEY SHOULD and never do) or from people who traveled from far away. Sometimes being there is enough.
