Today marks two whole weeks of 8-5 meetings.
I’ve taken to eating lunch in my car, reading tumblr on my phone, and attempting to avoid the black hole of conversation with strangers. I still have 3 more days of this. I’m not sure I’ll make it.

On wedding gifts
I feel like there has been a lot of talk lately about average wedding present cost. Lots of people are saying they give more when they are in the wedding which just blows my mind. I bought a dress, shoes, came to all your shit (including showers) and I’m supposed to give you an additional $200 present too? Sorry friends. Not happening. My presence is a present, etc.

I did something totally out of character and...
I bought a Boston Butt and I made up some barbecue sauce (mostly vinegar). If it doesn’t turn out I bought enough sides to feed an army so at least I’ll have that. I’ll be sure to keep y’all posted.

I live on a cash budget. I’m not accruing more debt, and I’m working on paying off the debt that I have. Some months I wonder if I’m gonna make it, but I always do. I could save more so that when unexpected things come up (costly car repairs) it’s not the end of the world, but I’m working on it. I feel like I’ll be in a good place in the coming months.

I got a following too closely ticket over thanksgiving after I rear-ended this guy. I had court this morning. The cop and the guy I hit didn’t show up. Ticket dismissed. BOOYAH!
Because of having to go to court I didn’t get to work until nearly 11 and then my entire team went to lunch at 11:30, which my boss paid for. BOOYAH AGAIN!
I just started doing real work for the day....

I’m gonna need you to stop freaking out about things you have no control over. if it’s gonna work out, it will. if it’s not, it won’t. that is all there is to it. stressing yourself into a tizzy is not going to get you the results you are looking for, nor is it good for your mental health. get a grip on your life.
